Fresh Gourmet Coffee – tasty and with intense wonderful aroma
What is it with caffeine? Do we humans really need a daily java buzz? The way we slurp down fresh coffee on a regular basis, you would certainly think so.
Do you realize that coffee is such a bizarre product. Okay, so they grow the beans in far off countries; we purchase the beans; we roast the beans, then we use either a manual coffee grinder or an electrical one to grind the beans and drain water through them to make a tasty beverage. Well, I should actually say, acquired taste.
Now, are we really supposed to consume these beans? That enigma always gets me. Regardless of this thought, the world has spoken, and it demands fresh roasted coffee.
My wife and I love gourmet coffee. When I say love, I really mean it. We purchased a self contained espresso machine to chug iced lattes on a whim, or maybe sip a hot cappuccino in the morning.
We even buy fresh coffee beans every week in order to get that perfect incomparable flavor. Our espresso machine grinds the fresh coffee beans with each serving. This is the way to go. That pristine, impeccable shot of recently ground fresh coffee beans makes it all worth while.
Now, I may have only started drinking coffee about 5 years ago, but I’ve learned a great deal since. On the subject of fresh coffee, I must add that there are countless coffee shops that serve not so fresh coffee. Have you ever been to a coffee house, and they whip you up a latte that resembles dirty water?
Wow, as much as I hate to reminisce, I have encountered this travesty on several occasions. I actually wondered if they used the same grounds as the customer before me. It certainly tasted like it.
Then of course you have the random coffee grounds floating around in your latte. Yuck!
On the other hand all you need for a good cup of coffee is a solid cup coffee maker, the best coffee beans you can afford and when you grind coffee yourself, it feels like you get a reward for your “labor”.
The concept of gourmet coffee is an important one for those of us who fully appreciate a good cup of java. None of us want to end up with the stale dirty water latte. Fortunately there are several ways to attain fresh coffee these days. You can certainly find local coffee houses that take full pride in their work and offer only the best coffee they can muster, you could buy a single cup coffee maker, or you can delve into cyberspace in search of that fresh coffee goodness.
