Fresh Roasted Coffee …can you smell the IT?

Get a load of that fresh roasted coffee. The tantalizing smell is enough to give any java crazed citizen a wide-eyed sigh of relief. We love waking up to that fresh coffee. Noses flare and taste buds rouse as we bring the cup up to our chins.

Wow, fresh roasted coffee sure has become the rage these days. We all want that perfect morning latte to start the day off right. Any fool can see the countless lines at Starbucks or any other coffee shops around the country. For some reason that incomparable scent gets us every time.

Do you love fresh roasted coffee? I have noticed that many people don’t even fully understand the concept. Okay, let me give you a dose of reality. The stuff at the grocery store in cans, is not fresh roasted coffee by any measure. This stuff is pre-ground and sealed in a can, which lead many people to believe that it’s fresh.

Now, try purchasing some fresh roasted coffee beans from a reputable market or coffee shop. Some even roast there own product. They will tell you to grind it and drink it fast. In no time that fresh roasted coffee quality vanishes. I was schooled on this about a year ago while visiting a nice little coffee shop in Niagara Falls, NY. I loved how the store owner handled and roasted his own beans. The smell was unmatched.

He told me that most coffee you see on the market today has already gone bad. The trick is to buy it weekly. Within one week the beans will lose their fresh roasted coffee quality. You should only grind each portion with a manual coffee grinder before using. This ensures the finest flavor. As I like to say, you can feel it in your nose. The aroma is taunting yet relaxing. You know that freshly roasted cup of java is going to hit the spot.

What kind of coffee do you purchase? Do you head over to the big coffee shop chain nearby and pick up a pound of beans. If so, you are not exactly enjoying fresh roasted coffee. The “make many make large” chains sell a lot of the cheap stuff. Think about it. Why would they spend their money on the finest coffee beans when most people settle for the mere thought of fresh roasted coffee beans? It really doesn’t matter to them. You’re going to buy it anyway since it’s convenient.

Now, if you truly crave fresh roasted coffee, then it’s time to investigate your area. You can see what local coffee shops offer, as well as hop online and sift through the numerous coffee sites in order to find quality coffee beans. When it comes to fresh roasted coffee beans, treat yourself to the finer selections.
