it was good while it worked,
I bought KitchenAid Proline espresso machine factory reconditioned in 2006, it lasted only a few months while still under warranty and Kitchenaid replaced it with a brand new machine. It made great espresso up until last week, when the pump gave out. I called to find out about getting it serviced and KA referred me to their only authorized espresso machine repair shop near Pittsburgh, PA. Speaking with the technician there, I was informed it would cost me $65 dollars to ship it but since this line was discontinued replacement parts were becoming harder and harder to obtain in the U.S. The only parts that he could confirm that he could replace were the solenoid valves. He figured he was saving me $65 shipping fee. Highly disappointing as expected to get many more years of great coffee. Consider this before you buy, especially if you get an early problem…. At least I got 4 1/2 years out of mine.
